Senior Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our team at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory. As a key member of our Capital Projects Directorate Management Office, you will be responsible for leading the management of our portfolio budget and ensuring the successful integration of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the management of the Capital Projects portfolio budget, ensuring timely and effective execution of program deliverables.
- Develop and maintain the team infrastructure, including obtaining necessary resources to staff and support the program.
- Evaluate change requests and approve or reject as appropriate, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
- Manage overall budget, identifying and mitigating project risks, and interfacing with stakeholders to ensure program funding objectives are achieved.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the efforts of stakeholders, support personnel, and line management to ensure program success.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 9 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and 7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong financial planning skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
- Experience with financial systems, including EPM/BPR, and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
