Job Summary:
We seek a seasoned Sous Chef to lead our kitchen team at Marcus Bar & Grille. As a critical member of our culinary team, you will oversee kitchen operations, ensure high-quality menu items, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Partner with the chef to create menus, manage inventory, and control labor costs.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, sanitation protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop a positive work culture, promoting teamwork and open communication.
- Lead by example, demonstrating culinary expertise and staying current with industry trends.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a full-service restaurant, preferably as a sous chef or executive chef.
- Track record of successfully managing kitchen teams, controlling costs, and improving customer satisfaction.
- ServeSafe certification and knowledge of food safety protocols.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience, with a strong foundation in classical cuisine and modern techniques.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on creativity and innovation.
Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience. We also offer benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
