Cost Estimation Specialist

Amotec is currently in search of a proactive and results-driven Cost Estimation Specialist for a prominent manufacturing organization. This company is on the brink of significant expansion, offering numerous opportunities for career advancement within this industry leader.

The Cost Estimation Specialist will play a crucial role in assisting the Senior Quoting Engineer and Program Manager by comprehending client requirements, evaluating material costs, labor hours, and the feasibility of product manufacturing. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the explanation of cost estimates throughout the quoting phase
  • Assist customers and sales teams by managing requests for quotes (RFQs)
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation regarding materials and manufacturing expenses, along with the relevant labor hours
  • Facilitate communication between customers and internal teams from product development through to production

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Engineering or a related discipline is advantageous
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in customer service and providing quotes for manufactured products
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to interpret blueprints
  • Knowledge of injection molding processes is highly desirable
