Assistant Vice President of Clinical Reimbursement - Skilled Nursing Facility

We are currently in search of a qualified Assistant Vice President of Clinical Reimbursement in North Carolina.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a reputable Skilled Nursing Operator. The organization prioritizes its workforce, offering a competitive salary range of $170,000 - $180,000 depending on experience. This role is open for immediate hiring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibit initiative and judgment to identify and manage trends related to Medicare Part A, Medicare Part B, Medicare Advantage Plans, and Medicaid reimbursement.
  • Develop and deliver training and educational resources for corporate and facility staff involved in Resident Assessment Instrument processes.
  • Ensure facilities are optimizing reimbursement across all payer sources.
  • Oversee and assist the corporate reimbursement consulting team in conducting thorough reviews of the RAI and associated documentation to ensure compliance with regulations and reimbursement standards.
  • Demonstrate kindness, compassion, honesty, and integrity consistently.
  • Foster a culture of exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in NC, KY, or VA with multi-state privileges
  • At least 5 years of experience with MDS 3.0
  • A minimum of 3 years in multi-facility consulting and regional leadership roles
  • Proficient understanding of the RAI process, including Minimum Data Set, Care Area Assessments, and Resident Care Plans, as well as Medicare Part A and case mix documentation requirements.
  • Familiarity with the 5-Star rating system
  • Knowledge of billing processes for Medicare Part A and B, Medicare Advantage Plans, and Medicaid
  • Proven leadership capabilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities
  • Willingness to travel and/or be away from home for extended periods.
