Role Responsibilities

  • Strategizing and overseeing support for incident management tools and methodologies.
  • Facilitating interactions between incident management and other service management functions.
  • Evaluating the efficiency of incident and problem management processes and suggesting enhancements.
  • Managing incidents effectively.
  • Establishing and refining incident and problem management protocols.
  • Analyzing incident data to identify recurring issues.
  • Assessing incident and problem tickets for appropriate prioritization and categorization.
  • Investigating issues to determine resolutions or root causes.
  • Coordinating with others as needed to support analysis and resolution efforts for problems and known errors.
  • Generating reports and metrics related to incident and problem management.
  • Overseeing internal or external audit processes.
  • Conducting tabletop exercises.
  • Collaborating closely with all support teams to reduce recurring issues.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in finance, IT, or a related discipline is required; a Master's degree is preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in designing and executing incident and problem management processes.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Service Management or a senior operational role in financial services.
  • 5+ years of experience in the payments landscape (e.g., CHIPS, ACH, RTP).
  • 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow.
  • Must possess a process-oriented mindset, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in managing teams (3-6 direct reports).
  • Exceptional written communication abilities.
  • Capability to simplify complex processes or issues into clear root cause analyses.
