Position Overview: The Vice President of Product Management and Development will inspire, guide, and oversee the Product Teams, which encompass development, marketing, content, quality assurance, and scientific research, with a strong focus on health and nutrition. This role will serve as the principal project manager for all initiatives and synchronize these efforts to achieve the sales and profitability targets established by the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the objectives and projects of the Product teams.
- Facilitates collaboration to enhance the product life cycle across various departments.
- Evaluates sales data, market dynamics, and competitive insights to uncover product opportunities.
- Delivers comprehensive reports to the Executive team to highlight trends, forecasts, and pertinent strategies.
- Guides the Science team in assessing industry trends for ingredients and product introductions.
- Sanctions final product details, materials, features, benefits, specifications, and pricing to ensure precision.
- Collaborates on the overarching product strategy to optimize sales and profitability.
- Partners with the Executive Team to define product direction.
- Conducts research to establish pricing and margins that maximize profitability.
- Oversees Content to guarantee accurate messaging and consistency.
- Fosters employee relations within and outside the department to cultivate successful working relationships aimed at achieving objectives.
- Leads the Science division to ensure adequate support for product advancement upon approval and that product statements are scientifically valid.
- Supervises the Quality Control Department to address necessary information such as label reviews, vendor concerns, and manufacturing modifications.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures.
- Performs additional duties as required.
Supervisory Duties:
- Oversees and supports a diverse workforce.
- Establishes goals and performance expectations for the team.
- Addresses employee or customer inquiries and escalates to the Management team as necessary.
- Trains and assists team members.
- Manages employee workloads and schedules.
- Operates within budgetary constraints.
- Promotes the Company's Safety Programs.
- Acts as a representative and advocate of the company culture, ethics, and values.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related fields.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of progressive management experience.
- Proven experience in consumer marketing and product development.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge and experience in Health & Nutrition are essential.
Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- High energy level, capable of managing multifaceted strategic projects alongside daily tactical activities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse personalities; demonstrates tact, maturity, and flexibility.
- Exemplifies strong communication skills; follows up promptly, responds proactively, and maintains a positive approach.
- Demonstrates high levels of reading comprehension, writing, and speaking in English; active listening; attention to detail.

Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel may be necessary, including participation in annual conferences.
Work Environment:
Standard office environment with minimal exposure to dust and weather conditions. Regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers is required. The role involves frequent talking, walking, standing, bending, twisting, reaching, and occasional lifting of objects weighing less than twenty (20) pounds. Visual acuity must meet a minimum of 20/40 (corrected), and normal hand/eye coordination is necessary. Normal or corrected hearing is required. The position predominantly involves sitting in an office environment, with occasional long or irregular hours.
