Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Guest Service Representative to join our team at Santa Cruz Seaside Company. As a key member of our Guest Service Team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience for all who visit our Haunted Castle office building.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Consistent and Friendly Guest Service: Greet every guest and employee, answer questions, and provide helpful information in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Operate Point of Sale System: Process cash, credit card, and ATM transactions, and examine currency to check for counterfeits.
  • Answer Informational Phone Calls: Respond to guest inquiries and provide accurate information in a timely and professional manner.
  • Distribute Paychecks and Other Items: Deliver paychecks, bus passes, parking stickers, and other items to employees as needed.
  • Handle Lost Children and Log Lost and Found Items: Assist in locating and returning lost children and log lost and found items for guests.
  • Monitor Guest Access and Direct Guests: Control and direct guest access to the Haunted Castle offices for appointments and other purposes.
  • Provide Business Cards and Promotional Materials: Offer business cards and promotional materials to guests as needed.
  • Sell Ride Wristbands and Other Products: Sell ride wristbands, My Boardwalk Play cards, and Season passes, and process phone and online orders.
  • Maintain Files and Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date files and records, including guest information and employee data.
  • Assist with Office Organization and Safety: Assist in keeping the office, Lost & Found room, and kitchenette organized, clean, and safe.
Requirements:
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Knowledge of General Office Skills: Familiarity with computer keyboard, multiline phone systems, and filing procedures.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously and maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Ability to Maintain Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning all guest and employee interactions, conversations, and incidents.
  • Ability to Work Flexible Hours: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to Work in a Confined Space: Able to work in a confined space and sit for up to eight hours at a time.
  • Able to Hear Normal Conversation: Able to hear normal conversation on the telephone and in person.
  • Able to See, Read, and Interpret Documents: Able to see, read, and interpret documents, including written instructions and procedures.
  • Able to Lift 35 Pounds: Able to lift 35 pounds and perform other physical tasks as needed.
