Job Overview

Salary: $18-$23 per hour

Elite Rooter is seeking a dedicated and personable Front Desk Representative to join our team. This pivotal role is essential in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless experience for our guests from arrival to departure. The ideal candidate will be approachable, organized, and adept at multitasking while maintaining a positive demeanor.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Interaction:
    • Warmly greet guests upon their arrival, creating a welcoming environment.
    • Facilitate check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate data entry.
    • Provide information regarding hotel services, amenities, and local attractions, offering personalized recommendations.
    • Address guest inquiries and resolve complaints with professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  2. Reservation Management:
    • Oversee room bookings, cancellations, and adjustments through the hotel’s reservation system.
    • Ensure precise documentation of guest details, payment information, and special requests.
    • Handle payment transactions, including cash and credit card processing, while issuing receipts.
    • Maintain thorough records of financial transactions, adhering to hotel cash handling policies.
  3. Coordination and Communication:
    • Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure timely communication of guest requests and room status.
    • Keep the front desk area tidy and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
    • Monitor guest arrivals and departures, coordinating with staff to assist with luggage as needed.
    • Manage phone calls and emails professionally and promptly.
  4. Safety and Security:
    • Verify guest identification to ensure that only registered guests access the premises.
    • Monitor the front entrance and lobby for security, reporting any suspicious behavior.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and assist guests during emergency situations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality management education is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in customer service or hospitality roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.
