Logistics Performance Analyst

Position Overview:

The Continuous Improvement Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in conducting data analysis and mining to design and execute transportation strategies that enhance CJ LOGISTICS' efficiency in minimizing costs, elevating service quality, and fostering innovation for both CJ LOGISTICS and its clientele. This role also involves evaluating the effectiveness of implemented solutions to ensure value capture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine and evaluate weekly and monthly compliance scorecards and reports related to TMC metrics.
  • Contribute insights on improvements to current processes and assess the implications on costs and return on investment (ROI).
  • Compile and present significant reports and enhancements across various departments to management.
  • Develop and assess customer profiles, analyzing the effects of new business on staffing and costs.
  • Ensure the accuracy of master data and provide recommendations for minimizing data errors.
  • Demonstrate the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across multiple operational business units.
  • Availability for on-call duties and participation in weekend or holiday work may be required.
  • Perform additional job responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience or training.
  • Experience in problem-solving through data analysis, including the proposal, implementation, and monitoring of process enhancements.
  • A proactive approach to challenges with a focus on delivering actionable solutions.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree specializing in Logistics, Transportation, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Prior experience in an analytical capacity.
  • Proficiency in Tableau for reporting.
  • Familiarity with technical coding languages such as VBA, SQL, R, or Python.
  • Experience with MercuryGate TMS.
  • Background in third-party logistics, particularly in food and retail sectors.
  • Understanding of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
