COMPENSATION:

$16-$19 per hour

Required Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is beneficial but not mandatory.
Culinary education is preferred.
A minimum of two years of experience in a similar role is required.

Minimum Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods.
Capability to lift at least 40 pounds.
Ability to perform all job functions while adhering to uniform standards, including appropriate footwear.
Effective and professional communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Consult with the supervisor to understand the prep schedule for the shift.
  2. Utilize a recipe book for batch preparation and portioning.
  3. Review recipes thoroughly before beginning preparation.
  4. Accurately weigh and measure all ingredients.
  5. Chill hot dishes before storage and ensure proper storage practices.
  6. Promptly refrigerate all prepared items.
  7. Maintain cleanliness throughout the preparation process.
  8. Use clean food storage containers consistently.
  9. Label and rotate products appropriately.
  10. Take responsibility for the freshness and quality of prepared items.
  11. Adhere to sanitation and safety protocols.
  12. Check with the Leader on Duty regarding the condition of prepared items and cleanliness of the prep area.
  13. Achieve a passing score of 90% or higher on all general and departmental assessments.
  14. Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Chef/Sous Chef.
  15. Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times.
  16. Foster a spirit of teamwork in all activities.
  17. Perform other related duties as directed by the Leadership Team.
