Merchant Sales Officer

We are seeking an experienced Banking and Merchant Sales Professional to join our team at Bank of America. This is a full-time position that requires the ability to travel for in-person meetings with clients, internal partners, and senior leaders within the firm.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of direct merchant sales experience or equivalent, with expert knowledge of Digital Payments/Receivables, Merchant, or Treasury Experience. They will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and prospects, providing advisory services, and selling solutions that address their merchant processing needs.
Responsibilities- Identify opportunities to grow net new business and provide high-level advisory to deepen relationships with existing clients.
- Work closely with Business Banking, Global Transaction Services, and the broader Merchant organization to deliver responsible growth and serve as the merchant point of contact.
- Deliver sales administration functions, including developing and maintaining a strong pipeline, pre-call planning, client needs assessments, and preparation and presentation of product proposals.
- 2-5 years of direct merchant sales experience or equivalent.
- Expert knowledge of Digital Payments/Receivables, Merchant, or Treasury Experience.
- Demonstrated experience cultivating and strengthening client and business partner relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision toward the achievement of personal and team goals.
- Prior experience within Banking or Financial Services preferred.
- 2-5 years of Core Acquiring (Credit/Debit) industry experience.
- Consultative sales experience with Business Banking, Large Corporate, and/or Commercial Banking clients.
