About the Role

Lamar Advertising Company is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven New Business Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling outdoor advertising to qualified advertisers, with a focus on generating new business and meeting sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell and actively close advertising sales to previous customers or new prospects
  • Handle entire sales process from lead generation to close, reaching or exceeding monthly sales quotas
  • Identify potential growth areas, open new accounts, and increase Lamar's market share by selling all products - Billboards and Transit
  • Actively pursue networking and business-building relationships and opportunities
  • Perform clerical duties, including generating proposals, sales contracts, production orders, and artwork
  • Track activity, prepare and maintain records for sales leads and account status
  • Make outbound sales calls to secure sales and schedule appointments
  • Prepare sales presentations and proposals
  • Provide product, promotion, and pricing information to customers
  • Maintain customer database or CRM by inputting customer profile and updates, preparing and distributing reports
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly sales plans
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license
  • Minimum of 1 year telephone sales experience
  • Minimum of 1 year office experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years telephone sales experience
  • Experience in a sales or marketing-based environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
