The Senior Vice President of Operations is tasked with steering, enhancing, and amplifying the operational capabilities and efficiency of the organization to deliver the most dependable products and services in the event rental sector. This role ensures that all inventory is delivered to event locations accurately, punctually, and in excellent condition, with proper installation completed in a timely manner. Post-event, the inventory must be retrieved from the site promptly, consolidated into a single trip, and returned to the warehouse in the same condition as it was dispatched.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operations segment of the profit and loss statement.
- Guarantee compliance with all relevant OSHA, DOT, and governmental regulations.
- Meet customer expectations through the execution of quality assurance, inventory management, and distribution tasks.
- Operate within the designated Operations Labor and Non-Labor COGS budget while managing sub-rentals and consumable supplies proactively.
- Assess and manage current operational processes, implementing necessary changes with input from the executive team.
- Conduct annual inventory assessments and ongoing cycle counts to ensure accurate equipment tracking in the inventory system.
- Supervise the accuracy and quality of equipment prepared for delivery and return, ensuring cleanliness and repairs are addressed.
- Manage daily warehouse operations, including asset care and order staging.
- Oversee logistics for equipment yards, ensuring organization, cleanliness, and proper access.
- Mentor and train team members on equipment management, holding associates accountable as needed.
- Ensure each associate has a defined development path and receives an annual performance review.
- Provide cost analysis for equipment acquisitions and repairs.
- Lead initiatives for process improvement.
- Ensure warehouse and labor expenditures remain within budget.
- Collaborate with Account Executives, Project & Event Managers, and the Management Team to ensure proper documentation is provided to relevant staff as outlined in SOPs.
- Ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately with functional, clean equipment.
- Work with Account Executives on weekly recap meetings.
- Optimize all available resources to achieve the objectives outlined above.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in Management, Warehousing, Distribution, Dispatching, and Inventory Control.
- Proven track record in building, maintaining, and enhancing reliable products and services that exceed customer expectations.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
- Focused on accountability and logistics.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Bilingual communication skills in Spanish are advantageous.
