In this role, you will undertake highly responsible and intricate tasks to lead and manage the social work department effectively, overseeing a comprehensive range of services.

You will actively direct, manage, and assess the administrative and clinical operations of the department, ensuring that casework services across the organization comply with relevant local, state, and federal standards, policies, and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

- Regular attendance and the ability to work specific or rotating shifts, including extended hours or overtime as needed, in accordance with agency policies.

- Oversee departmental performance indicators, both clinical and administrative, and participate in the development and implementation of improvement initiatives.

- Manage all administrative functions assigned by senior leadership, including responding to inquiries and facilitating communication across various levels of the organization.

- Provide leadership in the implementation and development of Social Services programs, ensuring alignment of staff resources with program needs.

- Collaborate with social work supervisors and program staff to optimize resource utilization.

- Ensure that all staff within Social Services achieve high levels of performance and productivity in clinical activities.

- Hold team members accountable for their responsibilities and ensure that departmental goals are met.

- Conduct timely performance evaluations and support staff development.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Strong knowledge of social work principles and ethics.

- Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations relevant to inpatient psychiatric services.

- Experience working with Behavioral Health Organizations in a psychiatric setting.

- Proficient in logical reasoning and problem-solving, with the ability to operate relevant software.

- Capable of analyzing and resolving complex issues effectively.
