Job Summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to lead our Traffic Planning Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the direction and vision of the department, ensuring the quality of technical products, and providing technical and management leadership to assigned staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction and vision for the Traffic Planning Department, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and manage operations to ensure the quality of technical products, meeting or exceeding client expectations.
  • Staff Development: Provide technical and management leadership to assigned staff, mentoring and developing their skills to enhance corporate objectives.
  • Project Management: Assign projects to staff, schedule work, and manage activities to ensure timely completion and adequate profit.
  • Client Relations: Work efficiently with the Billing Department to authorize and transmit bills to clients, following up with clients for timely payments.
  • Performance Evaluation: Evaluate employee performance in accordance with company policy, providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve performance.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to the Health and Safety program and all applicable SOPs, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: 15 years of experience in Transportation Planning/Traffic Engineering and Land Development, preferably with experience in ADOT/ITE/AASHTO standards/publications.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Professional Engineers License (AZ) required, PTOE/PTP preferable.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal), ability to present before clients and town boards, and experience managing and supervising the work efforts of assigned staff.
