Role Summary

The Client Services Specialist will play a pivotal role in managing the daily operations of our emergency shelter and Rape Crisis Center. This position is crucial for ensuring that our services remain accessible and effective for those in need. The Specialist will be responsible for overseeing various operational aspects, including the management of donations, supplies, and volunteer coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance the capacity of the Rape Crisis Center to provide continuous support for survivors and their families.
  • Conduct crisis intervention and client intake as necessary within the center.
  • Provide technical support for data management and program documentation.
  • Train staff and volunteers on database usage and crisis line protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records for program statistics and grant reporting.
  • Evaluate and manage inventory and supplies at the center.
  • Supervise the crisis line and on-call schedules to ensure operational readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with established standards and best practices for crisis intervention.
  • Organize and acknowledge all donations received by the center.
  • Uphold client confidentiality and program integrity.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and represent the organization professionally at various events.
  • Be available for on-call duties as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage high-pressure situations effectively.
  • Strong multitasking skills and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with community resources and support networks is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in standard office software, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Commitment to professional development, including obtaining 10 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually.

Physical Requirements

This role may require the employee to sit, stand, bend, and reach, with the ability to operate standard office equipment. A valid driver's license is necessary, and the position may involve lifting up to 40 pounds. Candidates should possess normal hearing and vision capabilities.
