Role Summary
Reporting to the DVIPP Director, the Client Support Coordinator will manage the daily operations of the emergency shelter and Rape Crisis Center. This role encompasses various responsibilities, including overseeing donations, supplies, volunteer coordination, and shelter advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance the capacity of the Rape Crisis Center to ensure uninterrupted services for survivors of sexual assault and their families.
- Provide crisis intervention, client intake, and triage as necessary within the Rape Crisis Center.
- Offer technical support for data management and program databases.
- Conduct training for staff on database usage and documentation protocols.
- Facilitate training for volunteers and staff on crisis line operations in collaboration with the Director and Client Services Manager.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and records for monthly statistics and program reports required for grants.
- Assess supplies and inventory within the Rape Crisis Center.
- Manage the crisis line and on-call schedules to ensure effective response.
- Ensure compliance with current Peer Review standards and Rape Crisis Center regulations.
- Record, organize, and acknowledge all program donations received at the Rape Crisis Center.
- Uphold client and program confidentiality at all times.
- Participate actively in weekly staff meetings.
- Represent the organization professionally at all required meetings and events.
- Be available for on-call duties as necessary.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities in high-pressure situations.
- Proficient in multitasking and adapting priorities as needed.
- Familiarity with community resources and support organizations is advantageous.
- Proficient in common software applications such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Commitment to obtaining 10 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually.
Physical Requirements
To fulfill the essential functions of this role, the employee must be able to sit, stand, bend, and reach with manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, and telephones. A valid driver's license is required, and the role may involve lifting up to 40 pounds. Normal hearing and vision ranges are necessary.
