Job Description

Position Title: Outdoor Living Design / Build Sales Consultant

Overview:

Kentucky Outdoor Living is a dynamic landscape construction firm dedicated to serving the broader Kentucky region. We specialize in crafting bespoke designs that our construction teams can execute in-house, establishing KOL as the premier design-build company in the area. We are currently seeking an external sales consultant to meet increasing demand and enhance client outreach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule client appointments and manage relationships through our CRM system.
  • Generate new business through cold calling and attending networking events regularly.
  • Create sketches or detailed drawings to present to clients and construction teams.
  • Provide estimates or quotes for pricing, terms, warranties, and check projected availability.
  • Target sales of $60,000 to $80,000 weekly, with a minimum of $20,000 in sales per week.
  • Achieve an annual sales goal of $1,000,000 in the first year.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, and contract terms.
  • Consult with clients post-sale to resolve issues and offer ongoing support.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Potential to lead the sales department as the company expands.
  • Commit to personal development and engage with assigned sales growth resources.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the landscape industry (preference for certified professionals).
  • At least 2 years of direct sales experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and perform successful project take-offs for proposals.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and at a desk for extended periods.
  • Proficient in using and learning new technologies.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks to sell several projects weekly.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check.
  • Agreement to sign a non-compete clause.
