About the Role

We are seeking a skilled AV Systems Programmer to join our team at AVI-SPL. As a Programmer 1, you will play a critical role in creating and modifying control system software for integrated Audio Video Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Convert requirements into a functional user interface and control code, collaborating with key stakeholders to meet unique requirements.
  • System Integration: Work with hardware and software systems and platforms to deliver a system with robust capabilities.
  • Installation and Testing: Install control programs and touch panel design onsite, offsite, and remotely, performing commissioning and acceptance testing of code.
  • Mentorship and Quality Assurance: Review and validate the work of an Associate Programmer, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Documentation and Maintenance: Create end-user and programming-related documentation, maintaining and updating programming code in installed systems.
  • Project Management: Manage projects using dev-ops platform to track issues, deploy releases, and collaborate with team members.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with test and calibration equipment and programming languages, proficient in uploading and downloading software in embedded systems, and proficient in control system design (Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC).
  • Communication and Collaboration: Solid communication skills with employees, clients, and colleagues, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Ability to diagnose and test complex system problems, work and think independently, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Education and Certifications: Two years of experience as an AVI-SPL Associate Programmer or three years of similar experience outside of AVI-SPL, Crestron CTI-P201 or AMX Control Programmer Associate or equivalent, and a minimum High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Formal Education: Formal education in Electronics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Certifications: CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or experience with C#, JavaScript, HTML-5, PowerShell, Git version control.
  • Enterprise VC Experience: Experience with Enterprise VC solutions (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Bluejeans, Cisco Telepresence, etc.) both hardware and software.
