About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Natural Software Developer to join our team at the California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS). As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex software solutions for our pension administration system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform system analyses and programming activities related to the CalSTRS' current mainframe pension administration system and the future pension administration system.
  • Develop and implement small to medium-sized system enhancements, as well as data cleansing, interfacing, and data conversion between the current and new pension system.
  • Work with various CalSTRS business areas to follow the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology for development activities.
  • Collaborate with the team to resolve incidents, data change requests, and information requests related to the pension system.
Requirements
  • At least ten (10) years of hands-on experience following a structured System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • At least two (2) years of demonstrated experience working as a Natural developer with a State/Federal pension system.
  • Experience with working as a Natural developer, Natural Construct technical environment, interfacing of multiple systems including Natural/ADABAS, and Job Control Language (JCL).
  • Ability to adhere to the hybrid working model by working on-site 2-3 days per week at CalSTRS Headquarters.
