Position Overview:D-Fend Solutions Inc., the global leader in Counter Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (c-UAVs) and Counter Drone Technologies, is on the lookout for a seasoned pre-sales engineer to enhance our expanding North American Team.
The pre-sales engineer will collaborate with the sales team and sales operations to foster sales opportunities, showcase our products, train customers and the sales team, provide technical support, and contribute to achieving our sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as a subject matter expert on our offerings, assisting sales managers in identifying customers' technical needs.
- Demonstrate the technical and operational capabilities of the D-Fend product line, addressing all customer inquiries satisfactorily.
- Facilitate a smooth transition of information to the Professional Services Team to prepare for client engagements and project implementations.
- Share insights gained about customer environments, systems, and risk profiles to inform the Professional Services Team.
- Convey lessons learned from activities to relevant product teams to provide input for the strategic direction of the product line.
- Prepare, present, and demonstrate the Company's products to potential customers.
- Conduct Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) and relevant field trials.
- Communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, and external interfaces to deliver exceptional product demonstrations.
- Articulate all technical and operational features and benefits of the Company's products to customers.
- Identify new sales opportunities by gathering information on customer requirements, changes in the c-UAV/counter drone landscape, and potential competitors.
- Availability for a full-time in-office role.
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, serving as a subject matter expert during customer meetings and technical discussions.
- Capability to manage all aspects of system demonstrations, including handling demo equipment, setting up in the field, operating/troubleshooting systems, and presenting their value to customers and partners.
- Technical and operational background in tactical/RF systems for military applications.
- Strong self-study and research skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Willingness to travel within North America approximately 50% of the time.
