Enterprise Sales Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Sales Engineer to join our team at Datadog. As an Enterprise Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to customers and partners, helping to qualify and close opportunities, and working closely with the product team to prioritize features based on customer feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Sales team to articulate the Datadog value proposition and vision to customers
- Own technical engagement with customers during the trial phase, communicating Datadog's value and addressing any issues or concerns
- Close complex opportunities through advanced competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility
- Deliver product and technical briefings/presentations to potential clients
- Maintain accurate notes and feedback in CRM regarding customer input
- Engage with customers and Datadog business/technical teams regarding product feedback and competitive landscape
Requirements:
- Passionate about educating customers on observability risks and able to build an evaluation plan
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to articulate business benefits and technical advantages
- Experience in programming/scripting with Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, PHP, and.NET
- Minimum 3+ years in Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering role
- Able to sit up to 4 hours, traveling to and from client sites
- Able to travel up to 45% of the time

Compensation:
The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Datadog ranges from $120,000 to $176,000, plus a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation.
