The Senior Site Manager is tasked with the comprehensive oversight, strategic planning, and coordination of construction initiatives. Collaborating closely with Project Managers, this role prioritizes safety and quality while supervising all on-site personnel and subcontractors to effectively manage daily operations, ensuring that projects adhere to contractual obligations, timelines, and financial parameters. Frequent travel may be required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document and maintain project information, generating reports related to personnel, production, project logs, and operational data.
  • Oversee and coordinate daily operational objectives, timelines, and goals in the field.
  • Interpret construction documents to ascertain requirements and plan methodologies.
  • Ensure job site safety through regular site inspections, training sessions, and consistent communication with staff and subcontractors.
  • Evaluate project progress and work site conditions, reviewing team processes to maintain consistency, efficiency, and quality in delivery.
  • Guide and develop team members.
  • Direct Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and field staff to execute tasks; establish relationships and communicate expectations regarding schedules, construction techniques, policies, and standards.
  • Monitor project timelines and budgets, collaborating with Superintendents to maintain and update as necessary. Engage with subcontractors to devise recovery plans when required. Hold regular meetings with staff and subcontractors to discuss progress, challenges, and facilitate the removal of obstacles to task completion.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 7-10 years of experience as a Superintendent on construction projects or at least 1 year as a Senior Superintendent on a construction project.
  • In-depth knowledge of scheduling, cost management, and safety protocols.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various construction trades, including carpentry, concrete, structural steel, and interior build-outs.
  • Proven experience in managing performance and leading a diverse field team.
  • Proficient in general computer skills (MS Office, Procore, Scheduling software).
  • Valid Driver's License is required.

Environment: Work is primarily conducted in both indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to various weather conditions and travel between sites.

Physical: Essential functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to operate in an office and field environment (construction site); ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods; frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and perform repetitive hand movements; lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate weights up to 50 lbs without assistance and over 50 lbs with assistance; operate assigned equipment and vehicles; and communicate verbally to exchange information.

Vision: Normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing: Normal audio range with or without correction.
