Position Overview

Yard Supervisor

Sunbelt Rentals, recognized as the fastest-growing rental company in North America, is in search of a Yard Supervisor.

This role is responsible for ensuring the yard is well-maintained, supervising the loading and unloading of vehicles, and managing the storage of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assign daily tasks to yard personnel.
* Support yard staff in their daily responsibilities.
* Ensure the yard is maintained in a safe and orderly manner.
* Enforce safety policies and procedures.
* Guide yard employees in daily operations.
* Participate in weekly safety meetings and morning briefings.
* Provide exceptional customer service to walk-in clients.
* Verify work orders to ensure proper equipment is prepared for loading.
* Conduct daily inspections of yard forklifts.
* Assist customers with order fulfillment and loading of vehicles.
* Inspect returned equipment for any damage incurred during the rental period.
* Maintain a checklist of equipment status.
* Help identify TBR/DBR fleet and communicate with the Yard Manager.
* Uphold yard organization and cleanliness.
* Promote safe work practices among all staff and offer assistance and coaching as needed.
* Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
* High School diploma with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction field preferred.
* Experience in equipment shipping and receiving.
* Strong understanding of equipment utilization and safety standards.
* Personal and professional integrity.
* Proven experience with tools and equipment.

Physical Requirements:
* Ability to bend, squat, crouch, and reach, lifting up to 25 pounds or more as required by the role. Some positions may necessitate driving for extended periods, loading and unloading heavy equipment, and working in various weather conditions, including rain, wind, or extreme temperatures, as well as night and weekend shifts. All tasks must be performed in accordance with Sunbelt's safety policies and guidelines. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.
