Position: Bilingual Community Engagement Coordinator

Role Overview: Assistant Property Manager - Senior Living Facility

Compensation: $48,000 - $55,000 annually

Work Schedule:

  • 8-hour shifts
  • Evening availability as required
  • Monday through Friday
  • On-call duties
  • Weekend availability as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an organized management office that reflects professionalism to visitors, residents, and callers.
  • Assist in the selection of qualified residents to ensure compliance with program guidelines and the Owner Corporation's objectives.
  • Conduct interviews and assessments of potential residents to verify eligibility.
  • Support occupancy goals by keeping a minimum of five pre-approved applicants on file, adhering to HUD guidelines and selection criteria.
  • Ensure all resident documentation and financial transactions related to leasing are maintained securely and in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Oversee all property files and financial records, ensuring accessibility for audits and reviews.
  • In the absence of the Community Manager, delegate tasks to administrative and maintenance staff to ensure smooth property operations.
  • Collaborate with the Community Manager and maintenance staff to develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Complete required reports accurately and on time, as directed by the Community Manager.
  • Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations affecting property management and resident services.
  • Engage with the Tenant Association/Resident Council to promote community involvement and satisfaction.
  • Manage community operations within budgetary constraints and monitor financial variances.
  • Ensure timely submission of financial documents and expense vouchers for processing.
  • Supervise volunteers and aides involved in community operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Community Manager to support community needs.

Qualifications:

  • At least three years of experience in property management at a supervisory level.
  • Proficient in TRACS processing, EIV, and HUD submission protocols.
  • Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and email communication.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in the primary language of the property location; bilingual candidates preferred.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and train staff to create a cohesive team environment.
  • Understanding of management accounting and financial practices.
  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance operations.
  • Capability to prepare comprehensive bid packages.
  • Familiarity with HUD occupancy procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Awareness of the unique needs of elderly and disabled residents.
  • Knowledge of 504 compliance requirements.
  • Willingness to travel for training and conferences as necessary.
