Arthur Grand Technologies is in search of a dedicated and experienced Desktop Support / PC Refresh professional to assist our client.
Role: Desktop Support / PC Refresh
Contract Duration: 6+ months
Job Responsibilities:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent required.
- Provide basic desktop support and helpdesk assistance.
Key Skills:
- Expertise in creating and managing operating system images, driver packages, and task sequences using SCCM or MDT.
- Proficient in security update management via SCCM or WSUS.
- Hands-on experience with OS deployment utilizing SCCM & MDT.
- Familiarity with Windows Imaging & OS Deployment, including customizing and creating WIM images, and experience with ImageX, Windows PE, WAIK, ADK, Windows ICD & DISM tools.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems (Win 7/XP/VISTA/Windows 8/Windows 10), registry, applications, and imaging technologies.
- Responsible for the configuration, installation, and support of equipment in accordance with specifications.
- Implement modifications and customizations to the OS through registry adjustments.
- Develop and maintain desktop PC and laptop images for Windows 10 and later, integrating and testing software applications and upgrades.
- Automate image and application deployment processes, including batch and PowerShell scripting, PXE, and .msi development.
- Understanding of BitLocker and encryption methodologies.
- Optimize imaging and installation procedures through utility development.
- Document design specifications and build processes.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues related to operating systems and supporting applications.
- Manage software updates using SCCM 2012, including package creation and database reporting.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Office 365 ProPlus administration.
- Deploy SCCM OSD Task Sequences effectively.
- Familiarity with Azure AD and Azure domain join processes.
- Define and certify client computing hardware standards for end users.
- Implement security hardening for Windows client operating systems.
- Utilize Group Policy and System Center Configuration Manager for centralized deployment.
- Strong understanding of Windows 10 is essential.
- Resolve Level 2 support tickets efficiently.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in SCCM 2012 or later versions.
- Experience with Windows Imaging Projects.
- Skilled in ImageX or DISM tools, and Dell Kace.
- Familiar with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT 2013), WDS, ADK, WAIK, and Windows Imaging and Configuration Designer.
- Knowledge of Application Compatibility Toolkit and Windows System Image Manager.
- Experience with User State Migration Tool (USMT) and Windows environments.
- Understanding of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, including IP addressing, DHCP, and DNS.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong documentation abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office, including MS Project and Visio.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Adept at handling unexpected situations.
- Ability to convey technical issues clearly in various formats.

Additional Experience:
- Experience with Linux/Unix platforms for installation and imaging.
- Background in software development processes and methodologies.
- Experience in QA, software testing, and troubleshooting.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Certifications such as 70-680, 70-698, 70-697, 70-689, 70-692, 70-687, 70-688 are advantageous.
- MCSE/MCITP/MCSA/MCTS certifications are required.
- Experience with SCCM 2007 or SCCM 2012 is preferred.
