Insight Global is in search of a Test Automation Specialist to become an integral part of a significant initiative with one of our esteemed consulting service partners.

This individual will join a pivotal team dedicated to testing and quality assurance as part of a large-scale cloud-native product development project.

The ideal candidate should have a robust background in creating and executing automated functional test scripts, along with the ability to validate code modifications and contribute to the success of the automated Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline.

The successful applicant will possess a comprehensive understanding of software testing methodologies and will be tasked with designing, scripting, and executing automated tests within an Agile development framework.


Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Leading initiatives within the team to implement the Katalon Studio automation platform.
  • Collaborating with the engineering Scrum team to grasp requirements and design thorough automated test scripts utilizing Selenium/Katalon.
  • Developing and executing automated tests to validate user stories during each Sprint.
  • Operating within an Agile environment, consistently enhancing and refining automated testing processes for integration into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Identifying, documenting, and reporting defects using established tracking tools, while working closely with developers to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Contributing to the upkeep of the automated test framework, ensuring its scalability and effectiveness.
  • Participating in code reviews, sharing expertise and insights to guarantee code quality and testability.

Stay informed about new testing tools and strategies, sharing insights with the team to enhance QA processes.


Target Rate:
$104,500 - $162,505

Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, such as Jenkins or CircleCI, is required.

Familiarity with containerization and virtualization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related IT discipline, or equivalent experience is required.

Strong hands-on experience with Katalon automation tools is essential.

5+ years of experience in scripting and executing automated test cases is necessary.

Proficient knowledge of Java, JavaScript, and SQL for Selenium automation, database verification, and testing is crucial.

Strong understanding of version control systems, with at least 2 years of experience using Git and tools like GitHub or BitBucket.

Proven experience working in a highly Agile environment, with a deep understanding of Agile principles and methodologies.
