Are you seeking a dynamic and rewarding role that will grant you invaluable experience in system solution evaluation and interaction with a diverse range of management and personnel within the Employment Development Department (EDD), Information Technology Branch (ITB)? The EDD is in search of a dedicated and skilled individual to join the Enterprise Testing Office (ETO) as an IT Associate.

This role reports to the Unemployment Insurance (UI)-Test Group, IT Supervisor II in the Enterprise Testing Office (ETO). The ETO is crucial in the upkeep and functionality of EDD's automated systems. The office provides a variety of testing services, including system evaluation, performance assessment, and automation testing. Additionally, ETO is responsible for managing intricate test environments and supporting testing functions such as data analysis and data security. This position allows you to leverage your business acumen and technical expertise to assist EDD in the evaluation of automated systems that support both internal and external clients who utilize these systems regularly, particularly in the context of EDD Unemployment Insurance and program systems.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, a keen eye for detail, the capacity to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with team members.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change as business needs arise. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office on their assigned in-office days. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.
