This ongoing contract position provides the opportunity to engage in innovative projects aimed at enhancing infrastructure efficiency and reliability.
Position Summary:
As an Infrastructure Automation Specialist, you will be pivotal in bridging the gap between software development and operational processes. Your collaboration with software engineers, system administrators, and other IT professionals will be essential in managing code deployments, automating workflows, and refining deployment and infrastructure methodologies.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee CI/CD pipelines to optimize the software development lifecycle.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management utilizing tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Monitor and uphold application performance, ensuring consistent availability and reliability.
- Work alongside development teams to enhance application performance and scalability.
- Enforce security best practices throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related challenges promptly.
- Conduct performance optimization, load testing, and capacity planning to accommodate growth.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to continually enhance DevOps practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a comparable role.
- Strong familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, etc.).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Understanding of database management and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and security protocols.
