Key Responsibilities:

This role encompasses a range of electrical, instrumentation, and controls engineering tasks aimed at maintaining and enhancing the performance of various chemical production units and their auxiliary systems. A comprehensive understanding of electric power systems, field instrumentation, and control systems is crucial, alongside a foundational knowledge of chemical and physical processes. The primary goal is to deliver engineering and technical support to ensure safe operations, compliance with regulations, and to optimize the efficiency and availability of production units.
  • Collaborate closely with Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls (EI&C) Engineering teams to ensure safe operating conditions and regulatory adherence.
  • Provide consultation and support for capital projects managed by project engineering, including participation in the commissioning of new and modified production units.
  • Assist the maintenance team in planning and executing maintenance activities, ensuring accurate asset data management.
  • Develop expertise in EI&C engineering relevant to assigned areas, establishing specifications and standards, and overseeing third-party engineering and maintenance services.
  • Plan and execute small-scale investment projects, coordinating troubleshooting and de-bottlenecking efforts.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Engage with various departments to achieve optimal results and solutions from a corporate perspective.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures.
What We Seek:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Instrumentation, Automation, or Controls Engineering) or Chemical Engineering with relevant experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in the chemical or oil and gas industries, or similar industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous, including knowledge of Emerson Delta V, SAP EAM, and Functional Safety.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and Lean methodologies is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to make objective judgments and decisions based on factual information.
  • Experience working in interdisciplinary and multicultural teams.
  • Capability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements effectively.
  • Proven ability to perform under schedule and cost pressures, with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Thorough technical knowledge in electrical engineering, instrumentation, and controls, including relevant regulations and standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in the operation and maintenance of 480V equipment, such as motors and motor control centers (MCCs).
