Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct various engineering tasks related to process and mechanical systems within our continuous production units.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to operational teams to ensure safe and compliant production activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering counterparts to maintain production unit availability at optimal capacity and quality while prioritizing safety.
  • Utilize engineering judgment to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
  • Design and implement improvements to equipment in line with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in managing capital and expense projects within the plant.
  • Facilitate technology transfer and collaboration between domestic and international production sites.
  • Work closely with various departments to achieve cohesive and effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to equipment and processes.
  • Engage in the commissioning of new and upgraded production facilities.
  • Participate in planning and executing system turnarounds.
  • Lead troubleshooting and debottlenecking initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in chemical or mechanical disciplines.
  • Over 8 years of relevant experience in the chemical manufacturing sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge in chemical and mechanical engineering, including applicable regulations and maintenance strategies.
  • Familiarity with process safety management and relevant OSHA standards.
  • Experience with process flow diagrams and engineering documentation.
  • Understanding of processing equipment and piping systems.
  • Ability to make objective decisions based on factual analysis.
  • Proficient in working within interdisciplinary teams.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new software tools.
  • Physical capability to wear necessary safety equipment when required.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours as needed.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
