Position Overview:
Wacker Polysilicon N.A., LLC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Process and Facilities Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for ensuring the operational excellence of our chemical production units and auxiliary systems.

Key Responsibilities:


As a Senior Process and Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting mechanical process and facilities engineering tasks to enhance the performance of various production units.
  • Providing engineering support to operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maximizing efficiency.
  • Collaborating with the Engineering Manager to maintain safe operating conditions.
  • Overseeing capital projects and participating in the commissioning of new production sites.
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of system turnarounds and maintenance activities.
  • Maintaining accurate asset data within enterprise management systems.
  • Developing specifications and standards for engineering practices.
  • Managing small investment and repair projects as a project manager.
  • Conducting troubleshooting and debottlenecking activities.
  • Participating in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) for new and existing installations.
  • Supporting technology transfer initiatives across production sites.
  • Driving continuous improvement efforts in process safety, quality, and cost efficiency.

Administrative Duties:


Your administrative responsibilities will include:

  • Keeping documentation and equipment records current.
  • Supervising third-party engineering and maintenance service providers.
  • Representing the company’s interests with regulatory authorities and contractors.
  • Ensuring all tasks comply with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a Process Safety Management (PSM) environment.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of mechanical process and facilities engineering.
  • Familiarity with process flow diagrams and equipment design.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in diverse teams.
  • Capability to manage changing priorities effectively.

Preferred Skills:
While not required, the following experiences are advantageous:
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, and SAP EAM.
  • Experience with Delta V, PI Processbook, and COMOS.
  • Previous work in refining, chemical, or pulp/paper industries.
