The Role: Telecommunications Construction Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Telecommunications Construction Manager to join our team in Henderson, NV. This role involves direct collaboration with contractors, project teams, clients, and technical experts to ensure projects adhere to plans and specifications. You will oversee a range of telecommunications construction projects, encompassing both underground and above-ground installations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive direction, oversight, and management for multiple telecom construction sites, ensuring successful completion and financial targets are met.
  • Direct, track, and supervise the work of employees, specialized inspectors, and subcontractors to maintain project efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with Project Management and coordinators to establish priorities and ensure seamless workflow across projects.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with owners, prime contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Contribute to cost estimates and assist in the development and review of project submittals.
  • Maintain accurate project trackers, including forecasts and actuals, to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
  • Oversee construction projects, ensuring strict adherence to contract terms, subcontract agreements, performance standards, quality assurance protocols, compliance requirements, and engineering specifications.
  • Assist with inspections and obtaining necessary certifications to ensure project compliance.
  • Track, review, and prepare change orders for Project Management to submit to clients, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution of modifications.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality construction projects while maintaining efficient operations and exceeding client expectations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to make sound, timely decisions that benefit both the client and the company.
  • Strong technical writing skills and the ability to convey complex engineering concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising field and office technicians on public works construction projects, with a focus on telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated success in client account management, relationship development, and supervision of field and office staff.
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to resolve complex construction conflicts effectively.
  • Ability to mentor and train junior staff members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and maintaining successful client relationships.
