Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, organize, and direct pre-construction and construction tasks for designated projects.
  • Develop schedules for key construction activities and manage subcontractor services, including approval of payments.
  • Coordinate the efforts of internal superintendents, trades, and subcontractors to ensure project continuity and optimize efficiency.
  • Act as the primary liaison with clients, subcontractors, regulatory bodies, and utility companies.
  • Guarantee daily adherence to safety, quality, scheduling, and regulatory standards on-site.
  • Travel as necessary to various project locations, including potential extended stays.
  • Establish and maintain robust professional relationships with commercial and industrial developers.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site assessments to evaluate project locations.
  • Analyze and interpret construction documents, plans, specifications, bid documents, and reports.
  • Conduct detailed material take-offs, solicit quotes from potential subcontractors and suppliers, and provide comprehensive estimates for labor, materials, and subcontractor expenses.
  • Prepare budgets, organize job sites for field superintendents and accounting, and monitor project expenditures against the budget.
  • Develop, maintain, and update accurate work schedules.
  • Manage all scope modifications requiring change orders or additional work authorizations.
  • Verify quantities, progress, and completion percentages to facilitate accurate billing.
  • Oversee inventory management, material handling, and loss prevention processes.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven understanding of the construction process, including permitting, utility coordination, civil construction, quality assurance, and OSHA safety compliance.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Experience in telecom/data infrastructure construction, whether domestically or internationally, is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members (bilingual in Spanish is a plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, fostering trust at all organizational levels.
  • Skilled in reading, analyzing, and drafting business correspondence and proposals.
  • Capable of organizing and managing multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other essential computer applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of best practices, tools, and materials utilized in telecom line construction.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to make sound decisions.
