KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review architectural drawings and specifications to determine job requirements, perform quantity takeoffs, and establish pricing.
  • Conduct material and system takeoffs as necessary.
  • Prepare bid scopes of work and finalize buy-out scopes.
  • Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers, and prepare bid documentation.
  • Assess existing conditions and participate in pre-bid meetings.
  • Compile comprehensive estimates, including rough order of magnitude budgets, cost-benefit analyses, and constructability reviews.
  • Assist in scheduling determinations.
  • Facilitate project buyout processes and transition to the Project Management Team.
  • Coordinate scope reviews with subcontractors and recommend subcontractors based on evaluations.
  • Identify and qualify potential new subcontractors, suppliers, and methods for competitive advantages.
  • Collaborate effectively with the project team to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Utilize On-Screen Take Off, Excel, Procore, and other estimating systems employed by the company.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction cost analysis.
  • Ability to interpret architectural plans and generate accurate cost estimates.
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality or healthcare construction is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in Procore, MS Word, and Excel.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities.
