Position Summary

We are seeking a Program Manager to oversee a critical NGA contract. The successful candidate will possess substantial, hands-on experience in program management within the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Intelligence Community. This role involves comprehensive planning, oversight, business development, and daily operational management. The Program Manager will collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to coordinate a range of contract-related activities. Strong business acumen, communication, and organizational skills are essential for developing and implementing effective project and proposal management processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, budgeting, planning, design, scheduling, and execution of projects while ensuring adherence to contracts and managing risks effectively.
  • Maintain a high-level understanding of the acquisition lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with military personnel, government civilians, and contractor project managers in daily project management activities.
  • Provide expert programmatic guidance to government clients across various initiatives.
  • Independently lead teams to plan, administer, and monitor the execution of multiple acquisition or sustainment contracts.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications; define project objectives, scope, and overall task plans, including critical path identification.
  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation and presentations.
  • Utilize strong interpersonal skills to clarify complex issues and propose improvements to senior leadership.
  • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders across various contractors and government partners.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Over 10 years of experience in project management or government acquisition, focusing on cost, schedule, and performance management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in proposal coordination and management for U.S. Government/DoD/IC contracts.
  • In-depth understanding of DoD policies and procedures for competitive acquisitions.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and client management skills.
  • Strong strategic and business-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to identify technical, management, and cost risks, along with recommending mitigation strategies.

Desired:

  • Master's Degree.
  • Experience within the Intelligence Community, particularly with NGA.
  • Familiarity with Verification and Validation processes.
  • Experience in Space Collection operations.

Compensation

The typical compensation range for this position is $170,000, based on experience, location, and other relevant factors.
