Job Summary

The Lender Finance Group Relationship Manager (LFG RM) plays a critical role in evaluating the financial information and needs of prospective and existing borrowers. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with the President/Specialty Lending Group and Chief Credit Officer to assess risk/return structures of financing transactions. The LFG RM will be responsible for gathering and analyzing credit information, conducting in-depth company and financial analysis, and preparing Loan Presentation Summary and Narrative Memoranda.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis and research to underwrite loan renewals, extensions, and modifications, ensuring timely completion of the underwriting and evaluation process.
  • Ensure all required documentation is collected and maintained in accordance with existing policy.
  • Conduct regular reviews of current portfolio clients whose loans are maturing or facilities being renewed, including review of financials, site visits, and assessment of general business information and other risk indicators.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers, leveraging customer knowledge to identify opportunities for cross-selling additional loan and non-credit products.
  • Ensure loan terms and conditions adhere to established credit policy, and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, agency guidelines, and organization policies.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to senior management.
  • Collaborate with outside vendors and professionals as needed.
  • Responsible for supporting and maintaining an assigned portfolio of business relationships and meeting annual goals/metrics.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in a commercial lending environment, with a proven track record in credit evaluation, portfolio risk assessment, and/or special assets.
  • Experience managing complex loan portfolios.
Technical Knowledge and Skills
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial lending processes, including credit evaluation and underwriting.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to set priorities in a multi-task environment and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of credit and financial analysis tools and techniques.
  • Ability to identify and quantify business risks, as well as key drivers of risk, and make informed decisions accordingly.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Exhibits a bias towards action, taking ownership of the process.
  • Ability to accurately interpret lending policy and apply it to the management of the portfolio.
  • Thorough knowledge of banking regulations and laws governing commercial lending.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, with specific capability in Word and Excel.
