About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. As a Construction Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, design, and execution of construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to assist in the planning and design phases, reviewing construction plans, specifications, and codes to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Support construction activities by coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and inspectors, ensuring that tasks are on schedule and aligned with budget expectations.
  • Participate in construction inspections to verify that work meets established plans, specifications, and codes. Assist in testing and evaluating materials and equipment to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Help prepare essential documentation related to construction activities, including daily logs, field reports, and change orders, contributing to clear project records.
  • Aid in project closeout processes, preparing final reports and ensuring all project documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Assist in maintaining quality control by ensuring that all materials and workmanship meet project specifications and industry codes.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, regulations, and best practices, fostering continuous personal and professional growth.

Requirements
  • Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field, such as construction management, engineering, or architecture.
  • 2+ years of experience directly related to construction activities.
  • Trade experience or ability to read and interpret Blueprints.
  • Critical thinking and ability to make decisions.
  • Field experience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Security Clearance

This position requires a government security clearance, and you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
