Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Palmdale Water District. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and maintaining municipal water facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform field and office civil engineering work involved in the design, construction, and maintenance of municipal water facilities.
  • Conduct technical and engineering research work, including project design, plan checks, and inspections.
  • Prepare accurate plans, specifications, cost estimates, and engineering reports.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies, including the California Department of Water Resources, to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Provide technical assistance to developers, contractors, and the public regarding engineering design, utility locations, and policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Seven years of progressively responsible professional, municipal experience in water and/or wastewater engineering.
  • Possession of a valid Class C California driver's license and a valid certificate of registration as a Civil Engineer issued by the California State Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists.
