Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and bilingual individual to join our team as an Outreach and Engagement Specialist. This role will support the development, implementation, and evaluation of outreach and engagement strategies within the Paid Leave Oregon program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate outreach plans to meet the Paid Leave Oregon's strategic objectives.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities to reinforce communications messaging to the broader community.
  • Promote services by organizing and attending conferences, tabling at resource fairs, hosting virtual and in-person town halls or community conversations, and contacting business owners and community organizations.
  • Present program information, explain program rules and guidelines to internal and external customers to ensure they understand and comply with program requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills.
  • Three years of technical-level experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate at informal and formal levels, converse with detail about familiar topics, and express the main idea on unfamiliar topics.

Bilingual Pay Differential: Employees assigned to use Spanish bilingual skills in the regular performance of their duties will receive a monthly pay differential of 5% over their base salary pay.
