Key Responsibilities- Determine eligibility for participation in financial, medical, and SNAP benefits
- Conduct annual reviews of financial eligibility for participation in financial, medical, and SNAP benefit programs
- Provide ongoing consumer maintenance and additional assistance as needed
- Promote person-centered services and protect consumers and reduce Agency risk
- Provide excellent service in a professional manner
- Minimum of four (4) years of equivalent combination of education and/or experience in social sciences or a related field
- Work or volunteer experience working directly with consumers in social service type settings
- Successful completion of a Language Proficiency Test (for bilingual positions only)
- Bachelor's degree in social sciences or a related field
- Experience working with consumers in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven position where accuracy, efficiency, and excellent customer service are essential. Frequent consumer contact, high volume detailed work. Office work will be conducted using general office equipment, including substantial sitting and is performed primarily in a cubicle environment, with noise and interruptions, being on phones and working at a computer.
