Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Tribal ACA Outreach and Education Clerk. This role will play a critical part in planning and coordinating outreach efforts for the implementation and monitoring of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate outreach events and strategies to educate and enroll Klamath Tribal Health clients and families into health coverage programs.
  • Develop and manage Tribal Community contacts for ACA and provide general support via phone, email, or other forms of communication.
  • Coordinate meetings, activities, and information with Tribal Staff, Tribal Council, Health Advisory Board, and other partners and stakeholders.
  • Develop a policy for the Tribal Sponsorship Premium Program and monitor its effectiveness.
  • Assist patients who are eligible for alternate resources in completing the application process for services.
  • Interview and screen new and existing patients to ensure required documentation is provided.
  • Explain IHS and Klamath Tribal Health & Family Services regulations and policies regarding documents needed and eligibility requirements.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain BLS certification within 180 days of hire.
Working Conditions

This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks. The successful candidate will be able to maintain strict confidentiality of medical records and adhere to HIPAA and Privacy Act requirements.
