This position is integral to our operations and offers a contract-to-hire opportunity with competitive hourly compensation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies and relevant standards concerning Engineering Documentation Control.
  • Provide clients with documentation requirements, which includes receiving, copying, distributing, and tracking project documents.
  • Evaluate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and work orders, making decisions on approval or rejection, and communicate outcomes to initiators/authors.
  • Review and manage documents to ensure compliance with internal document control practices and retention standards.
  • Oversee SharePoint sites and project files; facilitate the review, approval, and processing of turnover packages to the electronic file repository upon project completion.
  • Examine transmittals, project documentation, and turnover packages for compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and coordinate an electronic document database and provide training for new users as necessary.
  • Address issues related to documents processed in document management systems and project-related challenges.
  • Act as a general resource for inquiries related to associated activities, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the team to create detailed drawings of building modifications and expansions, including plans, sections, and elevations.
  • Collect supporting data and produce detailed maps of institutional properties, indicating dimensions and specifications of buildings, water lines, sewers, drains, and other pertinent information.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance within the training system of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in CAD drafting, particularly with AutoCAD.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in Engineering Technology, supplemented by advanced coursework in engineering drafting; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Proficient in SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Recent experience with AutoCAD is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise in CAD drafting, specifically with AutoCAD.
  • Experience in architecture is mandatory.
  • Reliable transportation for consistent travel is required.
  • Experience in engineering documentation within Veeva is highly preferred.
