This role is integral to our mission of providing exceptional technical and management services, particularly in support of critical projects related to national security and environmental management.

Position Summary:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our cyber security operations. You will leverage your expertise in security monitoring tools, such as Splunk and other SEIM log aggregation utilities, to support our continuous monitoring initiatives. Your responsibilities will include identifying and analyzing potential system threats, conducting thorough investigations of cyber security incidents, and ensuring the effective operation of cyber security tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the cyber security operations team in ongoing monitoring efforts.
  • Utilize advanced security monitoring tools to detect and isolate system threats.
  • Conduct investigations into cyber security incidents and document findings.
  • Support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation and compliance efforts.
  • Prepare detailed assessment reports as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in IT, with at least five years in a cyber security role.
  • Possession of relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
  • In-depth knowledge of NIST and CNSS cyber security standards.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience leading cyber security assessments and managing teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with RMF control templates and overlays.
  • Hands-on experience with Splunk and ForcePoint.
