Position: Senior CAD Specialist

Location: Onsite

Contract Duration: 4 months with potential for permanent placement

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $38/hour on W2

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant standards concerning Engineering Documentation Control.
  • Facilitate documentation requirements for clients, including receiving, copying, distributing, and tracking project documents.
  • Review Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and work orders, managing task approvals and notifications upon completion.
  • Process documents while ensuring compliance with the organization's document control practices and retention policies.
  • Maintain SharePoint sites and project files, coordinating the review and approval of project turnover packages for electronic storage.
  • Screen transmittals and project documentation for compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Manage the electronic document database and provide training for new users as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to document processing within the document management system and project-related challenges.
  • Act as a resource for inquiries from various stakeholders, providing information on related activities, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the team to prepare detailed architectural drawings for building modifications, including plans, sections, and elevations.
  • Collect supporting data and create detailed maps of institutional properties, indicating dimensions and specifications of buildings and utilities.
  • Monitor compliance within the client’s training system.

Required Experience

  • 3-5 years of CAD experience, with a focus on project-related roles rather than engineering.

Educational Background

Associate degree or equivalent experience in Engineering Technology, supplemented by advanced coursework in engineering drafting or a similar combination of training and experience.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Proficient in SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Recent experience with AutoCAD is essential.

Essential Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Expertise in drafting with a focus on CAD systems (AutoCAD required), including field experience.
  • Experience in architectural aspects is necessary.
  • Reliable transportation is required.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with engineering documentation in Veeva is advantageous.
