Position: We are seeking a dedicated Engineering Technician with a strong background in engineering or surveying fieldwork. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and will be based out of our Lexington, KY office. This role requires both independent work on specific tasks and collaboration with clients and other environmental professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide CAD mapping support and assist the engineering team in project execution.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project success.
  • Be prepared to travel and work away from home for extended periods as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in CAD design, Surveying and Mapping, or a related engineering/technical field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering or surveying projects.
  • Knowledge of mining, surveying, or construction designs is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Map3D or Civil 3D is advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • MSHA Part 48 Subpart B training is a plus.
  • Experience in home inspection or willingness to undergo training in this area is beneficial.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to concentrate for long durations are essential.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
