The role involves pioneering innovative designs and methodologies for heat exchangers through 3D printing, a rapidly evolving technology that presents unique challenges in material characterization and performance evaluation.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Characterize and optimize materials for strength and environmental resilience.
2. Conduct research to innovate and refine additive manufacturing techniques.
3. Oversee testing of raw materials and finished products to guarantee quality standards.
4. Design and manage testing protocols and processing procedures to enhance chemical and materials engineering processes.
5. Identify suitable methods for material fabrication and joining to improve engineering designs.
6. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers to foster skill development and problem-solving capabilities.
7. Establish and implement standardized procedures across the organization to enhance operational efficiency and quality.
8. Collaborate within a team framework to ensure adherence to project requirements and risk management.
9. Prepare and deliver comprehensive presentations for engineering design reviews and internal program assessments.


Qualifications:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 7 years of experience. Alternatively, 14 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or eligible for necessary export authorizations.


Preferred Qualifications:

- Proficiency in material testing and characterization.
- Experience with additive manufacturing processes.
- Background in project or program management.
- Competence in presenting to management and clients.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Project.
