Job Summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking a highly skilled and organized Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative tasks, including composing and preparing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and maintaining calendars.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen and prioritize correspondence, inquiries, and projects, and organize systems for distribution and review.
  • Answer correspondence, manage appointment scheduling systems, and type from rough copy.
  • Compose drafts of correspondence, special studies, and documents, and develop and maintain administrative office procedures and systems.
  • Conduct special studies of an administrative nature, and serve as a resource person for patients and staff members.
  • Monitor departmental budget accounts and keep administrators informed of expenditures.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Secretarial Science or a related field, with 1 year of experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer skills required, with the ability to work independently and assess priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to direct persons and inquiries, and provide information.
