Job Title: Paralegal

We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join our team at Omni Inclusive. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal support to our commercial sales and service teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support commercial sales and service teams with legal review of customer terms, bid tender submissions, HIPAA Business Associate Agreements, and customer disputes.
  • Draft commercial sales and services agreements with customers, including revisions to customer terms and conditions.
  • Train commercial sales and service teams on "battle of the forms" process, term interpretation, and drafting agreements.
  • Draft standard agreements, such as confidential disclosure, material transfer, evaluation, and professional services agreements.
  • Engage with external customers and their legal representatives regarding contract terms.
  • Provide guidance and perform legal research as required.
  • Maintain a library of forms and resources.
  • Drive improvements in paralegal process and identify opportunities that impact turnaround times and revenue.
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with anti-kickback, HIPAA, and medical device industry.
  • Ability to work closely with business units while maintaining independent judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to apply analytical skills to interpret data and use independent judgment and discretion in developing solutions to address a variety of issues regarding contracts and related problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of new business activities or issues.
  • Ability to adjust to changing job requirements and priorities in order to meet dynamic needs and workflow.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with outside counsel and to interact with senior management.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of organizational skills and professionalism.
  • Strong presentation and written and verbal communication skills; strong project management skills.
Education and Experience:
  • BA/BS from an accredited college or university, a paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited school (or any equivalent combination of related experience, training, and/or education), plus five or more years of experience as a paralegal which should preferably be in-house for a corporation.
Language Ability:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Computer Skills:
  • MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and the Internet.
  • Candidates should possess a strong computer software background and be comfortable gaining proficiency quickly as the department utilizes various third-party software applications.
Certificates and Licenses:
  • Paralegal Certificate, CLA/CP Certification, or equivalent paralegal experience.
