Job Title: Corporate Paralegal

Compunnel Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Paralegal to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in supporting our commercial sales and service teams with legal review and drafting of contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support commercial sales and service teams with legal review of customer terms, bid tender submissions, HIPAA Business Associate Agreements, and customer disputes.
  • Draft commercial sales and services agreements with customers, including revisions to customer terms and conditions.
  • Train commercial sales and service teams on "battle of the forms" process, term interpretation, and drafting agreements.
  • Draft standard agreements, such as confidential disclosure, material transfer, evaluation, and professional services agreements.
  • Engage with external customers and their legal representatives regarding contract terms.
  • Provide guidance and perform legal research as required.
  • Maintain a library of forms and resources.
  • Drive improvements in paralegal process and identify opportunities that impact turnaround times and revenue.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited school, or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in-house for a corporation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret data and use independent judgment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and the Internet.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Paralegal Certificate, CLA/CP Certification, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with anti-kickback, HIPAA, and medical device industry.
